I am Yuri Amadori, trainer and co-owner of the Masotta Ranch together with my brother Jonathan.
Our activity is mainly based on livestock breeding and work with horses, including all the activities of taming, training, re-education, breeding, guided treks and boarding.
In a ranch like ours, having a reliable and balanced horse is essential both in treks and in work with the herd, for this reason I opted for a different taming method, the aim of which is to obtain horses that are always reactive and ready to work, but calm and quiet at the same time. It all starts with good work from the ground (achieving a good feeling from the ground is essential), only when there is the right understanding and trust I begin with initially short and light work sessions, to then progress step by step.
When approaching a new subject, one of my prerogatives is to never follow a predefined "ladder", but based on the reactions and character of the subject in front of me, I follow different techniques in order to respect the horse's learning times.
Once the right connection has been established, I direct the horse towards the discipline or specialization that he will have to achieve, usually trekking, amateur competitions and work with the herd.
"I trust my horse.
If I don't trust him, why should he trust me?"
